Default Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 on PS3, 720p doesnt work

We have a Sharp Aquos 46 inch 1080p HDTV hooked up to the PS3 through HDMI. I have 1080p selected in the PS3 menu, and I have watched Blu-Ray in 1080p. When I launch this game, it switches to 480p, and I cant get it to switch to 720p, any ideas?

I can confirm that it will work in 720p, since I was able to play it like that. I assume the PS3 has the most recent update. I would try playing around with the different display settings, and see if you can it it to go into 1080i. It might even work if you specifiy your max res as only 720p. That's what I had mine set at when I tried it.

I fixed it. I didn't know you selected the resolutions supported by your display in the PS3 menu, I thought it was just selecting the resolution you wanted to run it in. Once I had 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p selected, it worked fine.

Yea, that will do it also. If you only had 1080p selected, it's either that or 480i.
