Someone mentioned UT2007 isn't coming out for the 360?

That's strange, i've pre-ordered my copy already.

Makes no sense trying to argue that UT2007 will NOT be released for the 360. It WILL come out sooner or later.

Never said it wasn't but to say it is without Epic stating so is just foolish. Just because a site has it on preorder doesn't solidify it, like I pointed out Play.com has preorders for GTHD which well, doesn't exist.

That interview is very old ,Kojima has done more interviews this year where he explain that it would not be possible a side by side port because of the many changes they have done in their engine. Where they use all the PS3 resources and technology ,that is all the cell available processors /Rsx and BLuray.

for example here Kojima told 25gb bluray disc is not enough for their game..

ditto for the "xbox360 version" ,it will need to work in the core package that doesnt have a HD ,neither a HD media that can hold 50GB.

So keep dreaming.. by the time you see a metal gear solid game in the Xbox360 (which i think will happen because its good for their business) ,it will be 1)a diferent game and 2)too late for Sony to care about and 3) done by other developers. perhaps we will be discussing the trailers of MGS5 ..or something completely new.

In the other hand EPic have already their Unreal2 engine tweaked for the Playstation3 ,thanks to UT2k7 ,so an identical game , side by side port its very possible . but obviously ,it will not be published by Microsoft.

No matter which console this comes out for I will definitely make this a PC purchase - I got a lot of mileage out of the prior UT games.

Is that even possible??? Will Kojima actually MAX OUT the PS3's abilities?!?!?!? It's the beginning of the end for us all!!

lol, He did make the PS2 cry in pain... maybe in 5 years he will max out this new generation (all 3 consoles, not just PS3 since he has stated he is interested in multiplatform development, not just developing for a single platform).

Unless you are doing pointless math operations that are not used for anything, I don't think you can get full use out of the Cell's processor anyways.

Also it seems they are unsure if they will even be able to fit it on a Blu-Ray disk as it is, so its to early to rule out what is and isn't possible. Also it wouldn't be that much of a stretch for some games to require the HDD add on to be able to play them.

The changes wont be as drastic as you think, All it will do would be allowing Windows Users to chat and share a buddy list with X360 users, they wont be able to play against eachother (unless its an MMO). I don't think it will allow PC Mods to work on the console either... unless they made a deal with EPIC. But since EPIC hasn't said anything about UT2K7 on the X360 we really can't say what the game will be like on the X360 when compared to what they announced about it on the PS3.

Square-Enix while releasing (imo) a crappy Final Fantasy MMO for the 360, has firmly kept to the line that they would not be giving Sony as much dedicated loving as they did last time around. Square-Enix had stated that they would be releasing Final Fantasy titles for all three consoles, and not just the PS3.

As for GoW, it is a exclusive title for the 360 that was bankrolled by MS. However that doesn't preclude it being released for the PC a year or so down the line, it just isn't going to be soon. Epic has also already made mention that there will be a sequel to GoW (think triliogy).
