Hi,
I installed per Jared's instruction on hos homepage myth on FC5. I installed nvidia-graphics driver 8776 and when I did init 5, it tried to get the x going but suddenly my viewsonic lcd monitor comes out and says out of range. My kernel is 2.6.18-1.2257.fc5smp. I am using a core2duo E6300 cpu with GEForce 7600GS graphics card. Appreciate any help in getting this resolved. Attached zip is error-log-report and installer-log report Thanks, Sreeram |

From your bug report, it looks like X is hanging. I have a few questions:
0) Have you verified that you're using the latest motherboard BIOS? 1) Does this only fail with a TV (not a CRT/DFP)? Thanks, Lonni |

This happens on my LCD monitor. I never checked on any other.

According to the bug report, you're using TV-out, not a DFP. If you're not trying to use TV-out, then you should remove the TV-out options from xorg.conf.
Thanks, Lonni |

I removed both the options and gave it a try. Still the same issue.
Thanks, Sreeram |

Ok. Thanks I will do that. I had same issue with driver 8776 and 9268 as well. I am thinking is this because of my setup.

I used the display setup from kde (vga driver was default vesa) and changed the nvidia driver to use nvidia-1.0.8776. Then it couldnt start the X and came back saying unable to start X would you like to see the log. I captured the log and it says the following snippet from xorg.log
" (II) LoadModule: "nvidia-1.0-8776" (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia-1.0-8776_drv.o (EE) LoadModule: Module nvidia-1.0-8776 does not have a nvidia-1ModuleData data object.
