I have a similar problem to this post:
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/show...21320&posted=1 The following is my xorg.conf file: Code:
# nvidia-xconfig: X configuration file generated by nvidia-xconfig
# nvidia-xconfig: version 1.0 (buildmeister@builder3) Wed Nov 1 19:47:17 PST 2006
# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the /etc/X11/xorg.conf manual page.
# (Type "man /etc/X11/xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following command:
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

Have you tried using X at the native (usually the max) resolution of your DFP?

According to your bug report, you're using the 'nv' X driver, not the nvidia X driver. Under which X driver are you seeing this problem?
Also, you have 1.0-9629 installed, which is no longer supported. Please install 1.0-9631 if the problem is with the nvidia X driver. thanks, Lonni |

I am now running the official nvidia driver (which is keeping my resolution at 800x600) and the bug report log file is at http://eckserver.eckerd.edu/~bordels...bug-report.log (refresh the page if you see the same info). I'll install the newest version and go from there.

According to the new bug report you're still using 1.0-9629.
Have you reviewed this post? http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=72490 |

check again, I'm using 9639. The bug report is at http://eckserver.eckerd.edu/~bordels...ug-report1.log I also just checked over the post that you linked to and will get rid of linux-restricted-modules.
Cheers |
