Unhappy 5200

hi,
I have a 5200fx on slackware linux.
I have flares in the test and when there is a vertical
line on the screen i see more parallel line near it.
I have set the frequecy from 74 to 60Hz and it's better,
but if it's possibile i wont remove all imprecision.
This it's a problem that I have also in windows, maybe it's
any setting of mainboard...
you have any idea?

I have attached the nvidia report file.

Angelo

Which "test" are you running that is triggering this corruption?
Does this problem persist if you're not using the Composite extension?

Thanks,
Lonni

Does this problem exist with the 'nv' X driver as well?

I'm afraid I don't understand what your image is supposed to be illustrating. Can you capture the behavior in a screenshot?

It sounds like the monitor just can't handle the 1440x900@74Hz mode. Please comment out your custom modeline and then start X with the "startx -- -logverbose 6" command and post a new bug report.

According to the EDID in your bug report, your display is only capable of 1440x900 @75 Hz not 74Hz. Does this problem persist if you request a "1440x900_75" mode?

That doesn't really prove anything. According to the EDID in your bug report, your display is only capable of 1440x900 @75 Hz not 74Hz. Does this problem persist if you request a "1440x900_75" mode?
