i switched motherboards to a Asus P5K-E Wifi/App. And it has the vdroop reduction on it.

True that. It is stable at 4.1, but because of the Vcore I run it at 3.7 1.55 volts 24/7.

Got my Q6600 at 3.0GHz on 1.2250v ... thats prime95 Small FFTs 8 hours+ stable. idle is 30c .... prime95 Small FFTs load is 54c!

I can and have had the cpu at 3.6GHz stable but it takes to high voltage and the temps are to high for my liking, what i have now is more than enough and im happy with it.

out of curiousity, is 1.4750 to high a voltage for these things at 24/7? cuz thats what i have to use to run mine at 3.5

No 1.5 is the Intel "safe threshold

I just finished a 8hour Prime95 run at 3.978Ghz with the Vcore ar 1.648v

load temps are 61c on the IHS and low 70's on the cores

Wow, don't know how long it will last at that voltage. In saying that though, prime stable at that speed is very impressive. What cooling are you using. I thought it would be around 90c to 100c with the Intel Heatsink.
