Hi, I installed the Nvidia driver and opengl 32bit compatibility libraries for my amd64 box. I plan on not using the nvidia driver when I can get the opensource driver to display the native resolution of my monitor. I'm wondering how I can find out what Nvidia put on my machine, where its located, and how to uninstall it. Hopefully nvidia has tools for this?

If you installed the NVIDIA Linux graphics driver using the official .run package, then you can ran `nvidia-installer` with the --uninstall to uninstall the driver. If you used a third-party driver package, please consult the documentation provided by the package distribution/maintainer.

Hi,
I have a problem uninstalling with the "NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-9746-pkg2.run" script. After using option "--uninstall" I get a message saying something like "a clean uninstall was not possible..". After rebooting I get around 10000 or more messages saying "nvidia: Unknown symbol". Dmesg is flooded with it so I cannot say at which point it starts: ... nvidia: Unknown symbol nvidia: Unknown symbol nvidia: Unknown symbol nvidia: Unknown symbol nvidia: Unknown symbol nvidia: Unknown symbol nvidia: Unknown symbol nvidia: Unknown symbol nvidia: Unknown symbol nvidia: Unknown symbol nvidia: Unknown symbol nvidia: Unknown symbol Adding 1052216k swap on /dev/hda5.
