So... What games for PS3 are actually good and OUT(or out in the near future)

I haven't even started Rogue Galaxy yet... sooo many games to play... I need to quit my job.

Got GoW2, VF5 and Motorstorm on pre-order probably gonna pick up F1 when it comes out too.

PS3 purchase(if it ever happens) is being put on hold

I found a Mustang Cobra I'm going to purchase. After I buy it, I have a decently sized mod list I am going to incorporate within the next couple of months(boltons, wheels, exhaust, small appearance mods, nothing major. Shouldn't take me that long to get it all).

I'll look into a PS3 again in a few months. Hopefully by then the PS3 will double the size of their inventory of games. Totalling the number of PS3 games worth playing to 2.

Just came back from EB Games to see if they had the GOW2 demo disc in yet (no luck, they said sometime next week). Anyways, the guy there printed me off a list of games. Probably incorrect dates, but I thought it was worth posting.

Give the developers time to figure out the RSX, then you'll see the real power of the PS3.

you have that backwards. I bet the issue with holding the PS3 back is the Cell more than the RSX. Sure they will be able to figure out how to crank more out of it, but its not too far from a 7800 series desktop card. Devs have been working with those for awhile now.

Seconded. Cell is where the magic is for PS3.

I wouldn't say magic. Its a train wreck for general purpose logic. The cell is a calculator chip, or a DSP, not a good central processor.

Game engines are getting ready to be all designed around symetric multi core systems. The Cell is mess in that regard. There is a reason why there are a fair amount of devs complaining about it.

Regardless of how much devs complain it won't change the fact that Cell is an A-symmetric CPU.

It requires a different way of thinking when it comes to coding, a non traditional way. Once devs get a grasp on how to go about coding for it people will see a nice difference between first gen and second gen games.

Thanks for the list. I wonder how accurate they usually are? At least it shows we should get some new games soon though so I hope it's right.
