raptors are over rated. there is a lot of drives out there currently that are much faster then a raptor.

look at the new sammy

Well i though i would see what HD Tune gave mine, not as good as the above drive but not to bad!

Therein lies my problem. I've got a whole slew of drives faster than the Raptors, but I just don't know which one to pick. Current choices are the WD 750GB, Seagate 750GB, Samsung 750GB, and then the Hitachi 750GB. Most if not all score a 5.9 in the WEI (which is ironically inconsequential). In the reviews I've read, everybody recommends a different drive. Anybody know of a good storage review site? I've already checked out Storage Review and Tech Report.

5.9 across the board baby! new gaming rig!

You would think the raptor 10,000 would be a score 0f 5.9 instead of 5.8 .But it don't take much to get that 5.9 with harddrives as long as you run two in a Raid-0 set-up.I have two Seagate 250g that has 16meg of cache on each and I have then set as a Raid-0 and I get 5.9,I don't know how they make the other scores unless the Graphic card has to be a DX10 model to score 5.9.It does'nt really manner to me since I put my Windows XP pro back in .I just have less problems with it and I know everthing about the XP OS.Maybe latter on when the Sp1 pack gets strighten out ,I may go back with it ,I have the 32bit Windows Vista Ultimate and the 64bit Windows Vista premium.I know the Vista is catching up slowly but surely .I just really did'nt see nothing wrong with Windows XP ,I think they could add DX10 support if they wanted to.

5.9 on Processor and graphics, hard drive is 5.0, dunno why its a 500GB Sata2 Seagate so i dont see whats the problem.

Also ram is 5.0 but i think thats because its a different like CL i forgot what it is some Corsair 2GB 800MHZ CL4 i think.

I have DDR2-770 running 5-5-5-15 with a 5.9...Weird.
