Does anybody know if the 360 HD-DVD drive does TrueHD 2.0 through the 360's analog stereo output.

TrueHD 2.0 is part of Dolby Labs lossless audio codec. Dolby TrueHD currently supports 8 channels of audio at up to 18 Mbps. I assume TrueHD 2.0 is referring to lossless 2 channel audio or he might be referring to compression ratio (2:0). The OP needs to elaborate on the question.
Edit: AFAIK the Xbox360 HD-DVD player does not offer Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD decoding. What the player can do is downconvert Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD to a high quality 1.5mbps Dolby Digital track.

2.0, meaning stereo output.
P.S. The terminology 2.0 isn't something new. |

You cannot do the advanced sound encodings through the stereo rca jacks, you need to use the optical out.

Infact, how the hell do you actually get TrueHD? So many different variants of it knocking about.

via HD-XA1/XA2 > analog-out > receiver for analog EDIT: From what I understand, TrueHD was designed with the thought that the player would do the actual sound decoding and send it to the receiver for playback as either LPCM or bitstream. |

Because if you had, you wouldn't be asking for a link "backing up" the fact that analog stereo outputs don't support Dolby TrueHD.
