No, I wasn't using Ubuntu, I was using RHEL4, and I'm afraid that I don't have any PIII systems here.
It would be useful to know whether this problem is specific to the motherboard/CPU that you're using. |

Hello again,
I'm wondering if I can fix my problem by buying a different card. I'm trying to upgrade an AGP4x motherboard. What should I buy? I plan to turn AGP off to prevent crashes. I have read here and elsewhere that NV25 and NV28 chips don't work on Fedora core5 (and NV28 is not working for me on Ubuntu dapper). NV36 is reported to work and above you mention that a chip > G7x is needed, is there an AGP chip that will work? Will an FX1000 (NV30) work? |
