None in stock at the mo though
I wanna know what software I'll need to run it on my pc. Im way too cheap to buy an HD TV when I can get a 21inch CRT PC monitor for about £50

PowerDVD 7 Ultra is the only app that currently supports HD DVD out of the box. Better have that monitor in 1920x1200 though because the software doesn't seem to want to playback at 1280x720 even when your monitor is set at 1280x800.

Anything on the grapevine about Vista 64 bit editions having hd-dvd playback updates or will it always be 3rd party only??

I wouldn't be surprised if MS put out a plugin for WMP that allowed for HD DVD/BD playback, but I certainly wouldn't put my hopes into something free coming along for a VERY long time.
