Default How to run old DGA only Loki Games ?

I tryed some old Loki games, and found out that Railroads Tycoon2 Gold is not working, it reports this error:

bash-2.05# ./rt2
X Error: 146
Request Major code 136 (XFree86-DGA)
Request Minor code 1 ()
Error Serial #17
Current Serial #17

I found out that this is an DGA missing error. And that all current nvidia Drivers do no longer support DGA extension.

So the one Million $ Question is, HOW can i run this Game ?
Is there some kind of DGA->X11 wrapper ?

Correct modern video drivers from nvidia and others don't support DGA anymore and I don't think there's a wrapper. At the time loki was the developer of SDL and they might be using that for 2D. If that's the case they might have compiled it with DGA-only and then you could in theory provide your own SDL library.

You may try to run old Loki games against those libraries http://www.swanson.ukfsn.org/loki/lo...bs-1.2.tar.bz2

Quote:
#!/bin/sh
COMPAT=/opt/Loki_Compat/

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$COMPAT
export LANG=EN
LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 $COMPAT/ld-linux.so.2 /usr/local/games/game/somebinary
