It was me that was going to play GW. I tried it out and it's fairly laggy, especially in heavily populated places. You'll see your character "teleport" around a bit and conversations will have a 1 sec lag or so. When you enter the instanced areas, the lag is not as bad, unless you're in a group with other players. If your group is all hirelings, the lag isn't too bad. If you PVP, it won't work for you as you'll always be a second behind and that's usually too late for PVP.

If you're spoiled by DSL or cable, be prepared to be frustrated. If you're coming from dial-up, you'll be pleased.

Make sure you read through the forums that evilghost and I linked to. The FAQ is awesome and will answer most of your questions.

yeah, i was reading through them. thats how i figured out that hughes was a better option than the wild blue, but i know the latency is gonna be a drag. i wish there was a way to use cellular similar to that kyocera, but not on the edvo network.

AFAIK that Kyocera evdo router will work with 1xRTT too. If not just build out a Linux or XP machine and have it be your router; it's easy

now that is very interesting. hmm.. i checked out hughes, and im not in the mood for fork out $500 for install, since in my area i dont qualify for the $99 promotion. so, its wild blue or nothing. wild blue has a better FAP, and its cheaper. but ive seen mixed reviews of it. still debating that kyocera thing. that would be ideal i suppose
