I an running FreeBSD with a fully updated ports tree.
I was previously running xorg 6.9.0 with a manually installed version of 9631 and it worked fine. My card is a Geforce 4 MX 4000, which is why I have to run 96XX instead of 97XX However, a week or two ago the version of xorg-server was increased from 6.9.0_5 to 6.9.0_6 and since then things have broken. When I start xorg I get: dlopen: /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so: Undefined symbol "_nv000062gl" (EE) Failed to load /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so (EE) Failed to load module "glx" (loader failed, 7) (EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the GLX module; please check in your X (EE) NVIDIA(0): log file that the GLX module has been loaded in your X (EE) NVIDIA(0): server, and that the module is the NVIDIA GLX module. If (EE) NVIDIA(0): you continue to encounter problems, Please try (EE) NVIDIA(0): reinstalling the NVIDIA driver. Anyone else upgrade their xorg-server and run into the same problem? |

Have you tried reinstalling the driver?
FYI, it should now be possible to install the 9631 driver using the ports. cd /usr/ports/x11/nvidia-driver-9631 && make all install clean http://www.freshports.org/x11/nvidia-driver-9631/ |
