Default riva 128ev - slackware

We have slackware 10.2.0 and a riva 128zx card. (It's a dell computer - dell lists the card as nvidzx sullivan/tobago dimension - linux is calling it a riva 128ev)

It seems the riva 128 is not supported by nvidia. I saw a post that recommended changing the config file to "nv" for the driver. (We have xorg). Would this be the case for slackware? I'm not sure if we have the driver.

Help appreciated.

Yes, slackware should have and handle the "nv" driver just fine.
