Asus 7600GS

Hi,

I'm thinking of getting a base model Ultra 20 m2 and then adding an Asus 7600GS based video card. It's at NewEgg at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121008

Has anyone tried one of these? I have the feeling that it should work, but I just wanted to make sure.

little expensive don't you think?

Unless you're looking for dead silence, a gt is only about $10 more.

um.. yeah just checked. A GT is actually cheaper.. Link

Thanks for the tip. I think I will get the one you recommended. Do the solaris drivers work with it?

no freaking clue, but any drivers that would work with the gs would work with the gt.

Hi,
I have just installed Solaris Express, Community Release b57 and it install the driver for 7600GS
glxgears shows over 5K FPS
