I don't understand how you people play with console arcade sticks... on an arcade it is fine because it is stationary... if it is in your lap it sucks nuts.

To anyone getting the Hori Fighting Stick 3, can you please verify if it works on the PC? Would be great if one can also use these sticks for some MAMEing on the PC.

Next question, anyone have the Hori Real Arcade Pro 3? It costs almost twice as much as the HFS3 but it's got a bigger base and umm... well I don't know what else that would make it cost that much.

Answering the first question, I believe it does work on PC and does not require drivers...however I can't confirm that 100% but I remember reading it. I'll direct you to a huge thread comparing the Sega Stick the HRAP3...I think that's where I read it.
http://virtuafighter.com/forums/ubbt...page/1/fpart/1

Second question.....Yes the HRAP3 is larger and it a high quality Sanwa Stick. The buttons are Hori but also wired to the main board which allows you to customize them. The Fighting Stick 3 has a Hori stick and buttons. The buttons cannot be customize without soldering them off of the main board. The Sega stick has both sanwa buttons and stick. It is a bit smaller than the HRAP3 but it offers a bit more weight. The Sega sticks were recalled though so you probably won't find one until hopefully next week.

Thanks, Marvel_us! I will probably check out the HRAP3 due to the 8 vs 6 button layout.

Just bought the VF5 game. I can't check it out till later though. It is a shame though that I can't use my PS2 Stick it ROCKS. I hope someone makes an adapter to make the PS2 stick work. It works on the PS2, Dreamcast and XBox (with an adapter).

Just got mine also. Best Buy had an ad saying it would be there by 2pm but I went by there twice and they still didn't have it. So, I went by Gamestop at the mall before going back to work. They had it so that's where I got mine.

Excellent, had to try it before going back to work. Takes a little while to start since it apparently copies a lot of data to the hard drive the first time through. I just did the arcade mode without saving any data but I won my first fight. Of course, I was fighting a girl...if that matters. Anyway, this is what I've been looking for (the type of fighting game, that is). Looks good but is just 720p.

Good some goodies.

720p is just fine. Might have looked like crap if they tried to push it.

Picked it up an hour ago. Damn EB didn't know what the hell I was talking about when I asked for the Hori stick. Oh well, that just forces me to wait for the Sega stick to come in stock.

Nice goods you got there.
I notice the gow2 demo, how do you like it?

But yeah, I got my copy as well, been playing for about 2 hours and I'm loving it. Lot of depth into each character. I can already tell its going to take a long time to master everyone, or even one character. Graphics are better than expected, the screens don't do it justice. Everything looks better in motion, especially the self shadowing.

My EB didn't have any arcade sticks either.

Sigh, haven't gotten a chance to play anything yet. Trying to scan about a million photos for my mom.

Still no damn sticks in stock! Come on Sega!
