Dear forum members,
I'm running openSuSE 10.2 with Geforce4 MX 440. After installing 9631, KDE seems to crash randomly (can be after five minutes or five hours). This doesn't happen when I use other window managers, such as fluxbox, blackbox, etc. However, I don't think the reason has to do with KDE, since whenever I try to run some openGL-based program, it crashes, e.g. Google Earth or some openGL probe from KInfoCenter. My log file is attached in a tar.gz form, since it exceeded the upload limit of this forum. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Hellbourne. |

According to the bug report, you're not using the glx module which ships with the NVIDIA driver. I'd suggest reinstalling the driver to fix this problem.

I reinstalled and now at least it seems to be ok. I'll wait for 24 hours to see if it crashes or not and let you know if it does.
Thanks! Hellbourne. |
