Wii wifi - has anyone actually got it to work on Win2K?

The only computer in the house close enough to the Wii and an internet connection still has Win2K on it, and i just don't want to reformat it simply to put my console online...

anyone?

You don't need to reformat your computer for the Wii to access WiFi.

You need to buy a wireless router. The Wii connects to the router not your computer.

the manual shows a USB adaptor stick on both the computer and the Wii.

the other scenario had the wireless/LAN router setup.

The USB adapter allows you connect the Wii to a router with an ethernet cable. The only thing you would need your PC for is management of your router (MAC address filtering, wireless configuration, etc).

There is a little USB device that you plug into an internet connected PC to turn it into a mini DS WiFi hotspot if you don't have a router. I dunno if it'll work with the Wii though...
