Twinview with 7800GTX and 8800GTX?

Folks,

I'm thinking of getting another graphics card - an 8800GTX.

I currently run twinview on two monitors off of a 7800GTX. Can I use twinview to drive three monitors, one monitor being driven off of the 7800, and the other two off of the 8800?

Or, must I buy two 8800s?

I have an NForce 4 professional motherboard, so two separate PCIx 16 busses.

I recently tried out such a setup: xinerama will work, but you won't have OpenGL.
Means: 2D Applications such as browsers and office will work, but even glxgears
refuses to work.

Twinview supports two display devices. If you wish to use more than 2, you'd need to run separate X screens and/or Xinerama and/or Twinview together.

Ok, maybe that was not clear enough: 2x 7800GTX or 2x 8800GTX are working
fine with OpenGL, but 1x 7800GTX + 1x 8800GTX doesn't: IIRC the xserver
reports that 7xxx series cards are incompatible with 8xxx series cards with
respect to OpenGL (or something like that).
