Folks,
I'm thinking of getting another graphics card - an 8800GTX. I currently run twinview on two monitors off of a 7800GTX. Can I use twinview to drive three monitors, one monitor being driven off of the 7800, and the other two off of the 8800? Or, must I buy two 8800s? I have an NForce 4 professional motherboard, so two separate PCIx 16 busses. -bms20 |

Twinview supports two display devices. If you wish to use more than 2, you'd need to run separate X screens and/or Xinerama and/or Twinview together.

fine with OpenGL, but 1x 7800GTX + 1x 8800GTX doesn't: IIRC the xserver reports that 7xxx series cards are incompatible with 8xxx series cards with respect to OpenGL (or something like that). regards Bernhard |
