Nice... I've been on the fence with this title for a while. If the demo is any good I'll pick it up.

I have exactly 800 points left in my account and was hoping SOTN wouldn't cost more than that. Now I'll have a reason to turn the 360 on .

Castlevania: Symphony Of the Night is now available in XBLA for 800 points ($10). It's around 95mb or so and it looks great (you can change graphics setting 'enhanced' or 'original'). Enjoy!

I know it might sound like a "take my privacy away!" statement, but I wish XBL marketplace capitalized on some of it's potential

I wish XBL kept stats about how many people who download a demo go out and buy the game. I know lots of people (me me me!) download demos cause they are bored and have no intention of ever buying the thing. That's inherant. But I think if Microsoft actually kept some statistics about demo play vs game purchase on an individual level, the game industry could get more encouraged to release higher quality demos for some things. I've played some pretty horrid demos, sometimes that cooresponds to some pretty horrid games, and with no real hardcore stats I don't think that's ever going to change

OMG STON is such a BS port... enhanced graphics my ass... looks worse then it did on the PSX if you try to stretch it to actually fit the screen at a decent size by default its in a tiny ass window.

I agree Magus. They could have done it a whole lot better. I still bought it since I like the game but I was hoping enhanced would be you know enhanced. I don't think it looks worse than the PS1 but IIRC it looks about the same (enhanced or original).

I guess if you really want to play SOTN with truely enhanced graphics you'll have to wait for the PSP version that's due later this year.

Well the difference between PS2 running SOTN and XBOX360 running SOTN. PS2 shows it in 480i and there's dithering going on (hence, it's PS1 game) so it looks fine. On XBOX360, it actually is upscaled to 720p so it look pixelized. Dithering is gone as well. I prefer playing without enhanced, just because I feel it looks better and original.

Still, $10 isn't so bad and fast loading also I noticed it's missing cutscene (intro). Not a big loss, really. I wish they'd apply mipmap for 3D background or something hehe.

I don't get the whole faster loading comments... loading is identical from what I recall since they didn't remove the loading rooms which basically all the loading the original had. It never paused and told you it was loading, just loaded in the background when you entered the loading rooms.
