Also Does anyone know good antivirus for vista that dosent use up alot of recourses and is good? Thanks alot.

I have been using AVG in XP and just loaded it last night for Vista and it seems to be doing fine.

Have not tried any spyware.

Thanks, I was looking at the post ur vista desktops thread and i saw some one had an icon for spybot on the desktop so thats a sign of relief. Im confident that spy ware blaster will work as well. Any more thoughts on virus protection?

spybot is not an anti-virus program

basically what ever version you are using in xp, won't work in XP

you will have to re-purchase a new version or get a upgrade

I just ran AdawareSE and it worked OK. I would think most spyware removal programs will run OK.

I use Spyware Blaster:

http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

And Ad-aware Se for getting tracking cookies that do get through.

HijackThis isn't a bad program either:

CastleCops has a pretty solid forum for anti-virus and malware etc:

I'm with Rytr. I also use AVG with Vista. It's free and it does the job without being a resource hog.

Yes. Vista has Windows Defender built in for spyware protection.
