In nvidia-setings i put 85hz in the refresh rate... but in xrandr show 103hz... who is right? nvidia-setings is overwriting xrandr or something? and the physical size of the screen is wrong in nvidia-setings and in xrandr.. how i change it?

If the DPI is not kept constant, then applications that read the DPI (such as any GTK+ application) will display text in a different (pixel) size depending on which mode the screen was in when the app was started. Users were confused by this behavior, hence the default that attempts to keep the pixels sizes the same.
