Hows your temps compared to the evga board ? Cpu/nb ? Do you need more/less voltage for the same o/c ? Looks damn good sofar, maybe ASUS are on to something here, hope this is a keeper for ya and i'm pretty damn impressed since you said the ram isnt even liked by the board If i understood you correctly youre not running in dual channel mode atm ? Linked/unlinked ? Lol i better stop bugging you with questions and await further results instead hehe
Ofc im hoping to implement some of what works for you to my own system as this board is a lot more similar to mine than the evga / bfg versions. It's 6 am here and i'm tired as hell(Testdrive unlimiteds fault)

Looking pretty good so far. I think I'm going to wait a while on a better BIOS to come out since this board is still pretty new. Right now I have it stable at 3.4 but know she has more in her.

I'm using the 603 beta bios for now.

Another update: The new 602 BIOS fixed the ram issues I was having. Was only able to run in single-channel on the right two slots before BIOS flash. Now running in dual-channel separate slots.

Sitting at ~3.4ghz for the moment. Letting her break in for a few days and then I'll try to push it a little. Temps are good.. about 3-4C lower on the processor and northbridge than the 680i. She's also been rock solid since the BIOS flash to the 602. No BSOD's or freezes at all. Heck, I achieved my current overclock with my memory running in single-channel. Not bad, eh?

Some screens of Oblivion running in SLI.

Res: 1680x1050
Filtering: 8x High Quality
AA: 16x
In-game graphics maxed

Still have a lot of tweaking to do.. these #'s aren't on par with what I was getting on my 680i. They're about 10FPS short on average from what I was getting on my other setup.

Yea but i would gladly sacrifice 10 fps to have a stable system any day of the week tbh, your cpu temps looks awesome,if i recall it correctly you idled at close to 40c with the bfg board?.Are you using waterblocks on the nb aswell? Or still the standard heatsink w/o fan ? I'm using one of these on mine http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=321116
dropped my nb-temp with 3-5 c but for some reason it maxes out at 3000 rpm eventhough its supposed to be 5000 rpm,go figure

I'm wondering if my lockups/bsod's isnt the vidcards fault but instead the chipset, its a pain in the ass though since there's so many variables, not one system is the same and even if they are the outcome can be different.I REALLY would like it if nvidia would release another xp driver asap so i atleast can rule that out if the crashing continues .My retailer is supposed to return my call on monday to discuss a RMA as BFG reccomended, hopefully it wont take too long and i dont think ill know for sure until i get the new gfx card.

With my P5N32-E it was memory issues it hated my Corsair Dominator PC6400 which is none micron. Could onlt get stable with the 0302 BIOS with the shipped 0602 it would crash all the time unless only 1 stick was installed and with the 0702 it was even worse it would freeze at post and in the other 2 slots would fail to boot all togeather. So got the ABIT IN9 X32 MAX WiFi and it has been great no crashes although a little hot thinking of getting a 50mm fan for the noth bridge. Would onlt crash with higher Vcore and noticed the power circits got alot higher temps so thats the problem there for sure. So iam limited to 3.15Ghz overclock. 3.2Ghz needs a bit more voltage and crashes abit as temps are lot hotter CPU never goes over 51C with both cores fully loaded.

Xion X2, nice temps man. I am glad the ASUS #1 board maker on planet earth is working out for ya.

Ntune reads lower on the processor than CoreTemp does. I was also running 1.57v to the processor on the BFG board and sitting at 3.6 on the clocks. Right now, I'm only pushing 1.48v and sitting ~3.4.

But at the same speeds/comparable voltage, I'm idling ~4-5C lower on the processor than I was on the 680i, which is definitely good.

No WB on the northbridge or southbridge. I gave up on that headache a while back, because when you remove one of the bridge blocks, you must remove the other, and it's really hard to fit any kind of a chipset cooler, water or air, on the southbridge since it sits right underneath the bottom G80. The NB idles pretty low.. 32-33C and under load never goes over 40C.

I like that blue Akasa fan. I might look into something like that for the NB. I wonder if they sell them in the states...

Yeah, I know. It's past time they released a new XP driver. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the lower performance I'm getting on this board in comparison to my 680i.

Well, good luck man.

I was going to go with the 40mm LED Akasa but thought the 50mm will provide more airflow and besides my PC has enough lights to make Vagas look dull. I am thinking of going back to water cooling also, since my Koolance packed up. Thinksing of the Gigabyte 3D 2 watercooling kit. Most due to the MOSFOTfan cooling. I want to reach my 100% overclock!
