Yep people use the 350FSB x10 to get 3.5GHz. I honestly think the problems lies in people not using enough vcore or the wrong memory.

My honest opinion is the Striker Extreme is a fantastic board for people who are not noobs. Plain and simple.

Exactly. That's why I always get pissed when noobs go on and on and on about how the Striker must be a bad board.

The new board with Quad Core overclocking

Most are getting over 450MHz FSB.

If you use four sticks, you won' be able to push your FSB anywhere near as far as with two sticks. Four sticks require you up the northbridge voltage to help the memory controller deal with the added stress (vs two sticks), which creates more heat, preventing you from OCing as much. In my case, I couldn't get my overclock at a 400 MHz FSB or 356 MHz FSB (1600 and 1426 from the BIOS perspective) with four sticks of memory, regardless of what timings and dividers I used. I had the northbridge up to 1.55 volts just run the RAM (vs 1.45 for two sticks and a 400 MHz FSB), and my system refused to POST with 1.6v. Not having my CPU at 3.2 GHz (with either an 8 or 9 multiplier) is unacceptable, so I've sent the four sticks I had back to Newegg and ordered 2x2GB G.Skill sticks, which should allow me to keep my 400 MHz OC at 1.45v or 1.5v.

Oh, if anyone wants to some 2x1GB Dominator 8500 C5 cheap, check Newegg at the end of next week - they'll have a couple of open box items to sale.

I'm getting this memory CORSAIR DOMINATOR TWIN2X2048-6400C4D. Will that work with the striker extreme??
