Default Samsung X11-Pro function keys (contrast)

Hello,

I'm coming from the ATI world and I must say that nvidia kicks ass! The drivers for linux are much better than the ati drivers.
Still I'm having some issues. The function keys on my laptop that control the display contrast are not working which is really annoying. I'm running Fedora Core 6 with the current latest updates (xorg 7.1.1, nvidia 1.0-9746 from livna, kernel 2.6.19-1.2911.6.4.fc6). Can anyone help me make them work? Does the driver support this feature at all?
Also I'm having a question about docking. Is it possible to switch from my external monitor to my laptop's display without restarting X when I undock the laptop? I'm being able to do that from the "NVIDIA Display Settings" but it'll be great to do this automatically. I assume a shell script could be written to do this but I only know how to change the display settings with the GUI. How can I do this from the command line?

Thanks
