I finally got it working on my HTPC and my goodness, it looks awesome on a bigger television, as opposed to a computer monitor

Also sounds a hell of a lot better on my home theater setup than on my plantronics headset

I spent the past 2 hours just driving around in an F430 and a RUF R12. They sound AWESOME when you rev up. I had to turn off my music station just so I could rip around some mountain passes at high revs

The only issue is I am now using a lap attachment and it is a heck of a lot different than when playing with a fixed steering wheel. I will need to practice a lot more before I can pull of the same kinds of moves as there is now more "give"

A 35 foot HDMI cable would cost more than my telly.

Heh, I think I'd rather just use a card table for the wheel. What are you sitting in while using the lap attachment? I've thought about sitting in a recliner but it's too hard to keep your posture.

No you won't, you can use a DVI to HDMI cable. DVI and HDMI use the same signal type, so a DVI connector can pass video to HDMI.

Here is what you need.

They also have a "premium" version which is quite a bit less.

I'm sitting in a comfy couch.

Posture isn't much of an issue because the angle (with the help of an extra cushion) is about the same as how I sit in my car. The foot pedals were the tricky part but all is good now

Biggest issue is you have to hold it with the inside of your thighs and unfortunately it is just hard plastic.

I am going to have to grab some kind of table contraption to help out I think. I just can't find one that is small enough and has a design where I can slot the pedals underneath.

I might end up getting one of those racing chair contraptions.

Spent about an hour driving with a group of 7 others, just ripping across cross island but more in a social manner than looking for the fastest route. Very fun

Same thing happen to me and I was unable to retrieve my game. No matter what you do don't start a new game. I understand there is a way get your saved games back but after a few quick searches I couldn't find anything. This happen to me a few years back so the the solution I saw might be buried pretty deep.
