At least the cables on the chipset fans are sleeved? LOL.
In all seriousness, it says it wont OC as well as 680i.

Nvidia mentioned this and they have a stake in 680i sales. I would take it with a grain of salt. "NVIDIA mentioned that overclocking on 680i LT SLI won't be as good as the 680i SLI but we believe the chipset is basically the same unless they have done some sort of a sorting on the chipsets." VR-Zone seems to think Nvidia isn't binning the chipsets. |

Yeah, how do you convince someone to buy that board with lesser bells and whistle than the last one? and the price is not a huge diff

Does LT stand for "load-tested"? I hope so. Seems as if the 680i SLI hasn't. At least with mine anyway.

I think the LT will be the better overclocker as it has 1x 40mm fan and 1x 50mm rather then being passive or only 1x 40mm fan cooling both bridges.

You let either one get too hot and stability will be affected. The temp effect seems to vary but roughly somewhere in the 50's.

Well with my ASUS P5N32-E it was unstable as tell get the board only ran at 35C my power regulators don't know. But my ABIT is 35C for the board and 1-5 is 79C for the power. Increasing the FSB increases their temp quite a bit. So long as these are cooled they will work great for overclocking. Water cooling is a no no as the soeckt arera will get very hot and not cool correctly.
