Default Need help: Dual head/Single X Session/ One Card

Hi,

My card is a nVidia GeForce 6200 TurboCache. I'm trying to run a projector at 1280x720 and a TV at 720x480 at the same time to get two displays (":0.0" and ":0.1"). This should be only one x session so my single GPU should be able to do that. My current xorg.conf produces a brief flash of the logo on the tv and then it goes blank. The projector works fine.

Can someone give some pointers?

Thanks,
Jon

FYI. So it turns out fundamentally it is working correctly. I use an automatic login script that starts several apps including openbox. It appears that openbox is not spanning the two screens, because I get a black background on the second screen. However, I have no problem sending x apps two the second screen. For now this will work for me.

Do I need to explicitly start two openbox instances, one on each display (0.0 and 0.1)? Or is it possible to tell the single instance about the second screen?

As a point of info xscreensaver is spanning both screens.

Thanks,
Jon
