Default 9746 and 9755 drivers do not detect panel resolution correctly anymore

1.0.9631 works fine.
1.0.9746 and 1.0.9755 no longer work, with no changes to xorg.conf

For some reason the 9746 and 9755 drivers think my DFP is 1400x1050 and not 1440x900 like it actually is.

xorg.conf:

The bug report that you attached is against 1.0-9631. With 1.0-9755, please start X with the following command:
startx -- -logverbose 6

and then generate a new bug report.

Thanks,
Lonni

According to the EDID in your DFP, both 1400x1050 & 1440x900 are valid native modes. Try adding the following options to the Device section of xorg.conf:
Option "ExactModeTimingsDVI" "true"
Option "ModeValidation "NoDFPNativeResolutionCheck"

Yeah, that fixes the problem, thank you.

So the answer is not that there is something wrong with the driver, but my monitor is reporting incorrect EDID information, and after 9631 the way that is interpreted has changed?
