Apparently driver settings can make a HUGE impact on the performance of this benchmark. Since it was testing GPGPU type work, I didn't think anti-aliasing or AA settings would effect the results.. However, having my drivers set to 16x AF and 8xS AA, made my results about 6x slower than similar results for my card from http://www.skenegroup.net/fornvidiot...ts/NVIDIA/G7x/ .
Turning those to 'application controlled' made my results line up with the above(slightly better, but my card is factory-overclocked compared to normal 7600GTs.) Total time: 84029.7138 |

I stumbled across this benchmark while I was looking for GPGPU benchmarks. So far this is one of the only ones I've found that has useful output information. I have a Diamond 2900XT 512mb and would like to point out something about the scores. When an ATI user tests with this program they should use ATITool to force 3D clockspeeds. Without it I get ~51,000ms score with 2D clocks. With 3D clocks I get 31898ms. Big difference!
I have a question though. Is this GPUDIP program specifically optimized for Nvidia G80 GPUs? The numbers don't seem to add up on my end. My R600 shouldn't be 10 seconds slower than an 8800GTS in these tests. |

Blur 9 73 5 512 768 10000 912.6843 ms
38.7751 GInstr/sec 4.3083 GPixel/sec 314.5093 GFlops/sec 21.5417 GTexel/sec 16.0498 GB/sec on my 4830, a lot faster than the 8800GTX, isn't that the same as the newer GT250? If so thats pretty good for a sub 100$ card.
