ATI X2800? hmm...

Couple of crashes more, but nothing really disturbing. Plays like a dream in windowed mode as well. Man, as soon as you pick up your first AK, the game gets so much easier.

I've got two automatic weapons, neither are AKs, but yeah...they make things MUCH easier.

The shotgun is great, but the two shot "clip" sucks and reloading (for all guns) takes forEVER.

Has anyone read anything about the patch anywhere? I thought they had plans for a release day patch, but I can't remember where I read that. Maybe an interview a couple weeks ago. Not sure.
Other than certain aspects of the game I don't like, I haven't had a crash or lockup yet. Running on XP with the 97.92s. Super smooth.

Played for a few hours last night and I'm digging it. It's like Oblivion, but with russians and guns.

It's the first game I've played under Vista (32) and I've just discovered I can't overclock my GPU for some reason. Powerstrip, Ntune, none of it works. They run, but they won't let me do anything to my clock speeds. Breaks my heart, man.

Despite my earlier problems I must say, this is one of the funnest games I have played since FarCry. I feel like I'm shooting with real guns with real ballistics. I'm playing on the stalker level and I'm having good time, not to hard but hard enough that I get my ass handed to me if I'm not strategic with my tactics and shots. I did manage to sneak right up behind a military guy and blast him PBR in the back of the head with my sawed off. I haven't got underground yet but FPS almost never fall below 30 @ 2048x1536, max settings. Some indoor areas look a little jaggie but most of the time I donít notice. The small underground areas I've gone in to so far, my FPS go up. I like the AI seems very responsive. The only thing that bugs me is no 5.1. I called in to work to keep playing and later I shall pick up TDU. I'm such a bad employee.

I'm running it under Vista and I haven't had any problems. I just use the menu to save instead of quicksave. Hasn't crashed yet.

My main problem with Vista is that it won't let me overclock my 7900GT. And I hate the new Nvidia control panel. How do I get the old one back?
