Go back to the area the trader is at the beginning. Did you get the 'boar' quest from Wolf? Explore around, find what you can and sell it to Sidorovich (sp?) Keep exploring, grab everything you can carry and sell it.

Buy the TOS34 (is that right?) shotgun. Powerful and good range, and cheap. This will put you on more even playing field. Kill bad guys, carry stuff back until you're sick of it. You'll get enough cash to acquire decent weapons and ammo. Soon you'll start finding better suits and be able to take weapons from soldiers bodies etc.

Game gets pretty awesome after that, so it's worth it. But yeah, the start can be very frustrating.

+1, at the beginning, grab everyone's shotguns, handguns, food etc, and sell, sell, sell. Also you gotta explore alot. There is a hidden suit in the roof of one of the buildings in the very first area in the game, sell the one you start off with.

Yeah the shotgun is awesome. Buy slugs for it if you can. You can snipe enemies from a pretty good distance with that and they do a ton of damage.

i did kill the militarys in the begining whit the shotgun and handgun and got lots of good weapon and med kits. its hard so qick save often
