Default GF8800GTS... Or wait?

Hello all,

I'm thinking about upgrading my aging (??) GF6800GT to GF8800. (Most likely GTS/640MB)
Question is, how stable is it? Any performance problems?
Should I wait for the first 100.xx.xx driver release?

What makes you think it's unstable? It's listed as supported, same as 6800GT.

Supported != Usable/stable.

I guess I need to clarify myself.
A. Is there any known issues with the GF8800GTS? (Especially on Tyan/Opteron boards?)
B. How's the GF8800GTS driver performance compared to its Windows counter-part?

Supported at least means useable.

A. Can't answer that one, do a search on the forum perhaps.
B. Should be pretty good.
