Default ps3 bluetooth response times

I was wondering about the bluetooth 2.0 wireless controller connection.

It's 3mbps, or so I've heard. Is that weak?

I know that USB 2.0 supports up to 60MBps/480mbps so that's not anywhere near that.

Does anyone notice any difference between, say, the highest end corded logitech or razer mouse's response times to the ps3 controller's response time?

Is a 32 bit data path 1 khz polling rate equivalent to a 16 bit data path 500Hz polling rate? I would think it would be, but I'm not sure.

is a ps/2 port really faster than a USB port? I've heard that it was, but how could that be if the PS/2 interface is so damn old?

The bandwidth has nothing to do with the response time, its really just the fact that it is wireless is where the lag can come from. However 3 mbps is fine for the amount of data keyboards/mice/controllers send the date itself is just a few bytes.

its one of two ways.

one, such as a ping on the internet is the time it takes to send and receive a certain amount of data. this can represent the response time since it shows the time it takes for two devices to communicate and respond.

a second way is to measure the time between the button is hit (the signal is sent) and when the machine reacts.

i wouldnt worry about it. 3Mbps is like pouring a drinking glass down a culvert pipe. youll never saturate it.
