I wonder if they worked out a deal with thermalright or just went with similar ideas.

It's at the expense of a pci-e x1 slot or 2, at least that's what it looks like. Not b/c of the different hs, but b/c of the extra pci slots. That may encourage Aegeia to never go pci-e, possibly.

The 3rd PEG 16x slot could be used for "phsyics"...

DFI's designs will make absolutely no impact on what interface ageia decides to use for their PPU. It's not like it matters anyway because phsyics add in hardware is useless at the moment.

I've still got an unused swiftech NB cooler/fan I was going to use back when I was considering the ASUS P5N-E. I also have an unused coolermaster blue ice low profile cooler I was going to use on that naked P5N southbridge chip.

Only single slot cards will work in it though Look at the location, very bottom of board.
