Ahhh got it. Then that's even worse when it's nothing you can control and it's just bad luck. If something gets borked I like to be the one that does it!

Ok...I got the 6000+ in my machine, and it's flyin'.....but I do know that my FreeZone is not going to handle the heat. I'm gonna probably have to look for a new w/c setup.

I will do some benchmarks this weekend and some o/c.

Congratulation.
Any details about the FreeZone, like what are the temps now?
Before overclocking.

Before with the 5200, My temps were around 15-20 degrees. With the 6000, my temps are hovering 35-40. I haven't o/c'd yet, and won't be able to until the weekend.

That's a big increase in idle and not overclocked.

The FreeZone TEC probably will handle the full load at stock speeds but overclocked it most likely going to hit the wall.

As already pointed out in AnanTech review, AMD definitely needs to get all the CPU's on 65nm,
for now only some are.

I will probably join you on the AM2 wagon soon.

Discovered the 6000 chip for £156 inc VAT on scan.co.uk , for once the prices are comparable or cheaper than the US.... AFTER the rate conversion.

That is the first time EVER, in like ten years.... I have been able to say that about any CPU released here.

A new motherboard, CPU and RAM for £350 is astounding!

Dang, mullet. If you post that link up here people are going to start swiping up those Brisbanes like crazy, and newegg's prices will skyrocket.
