I'm convinced that you would prefer AMD just declare bankruptcy and close their doors for good. Same for ATi. Then it'd just be nVidia and Intel and I bet you'd be 100% content with that.

In case you haven't, do some research on Barcelona- on paper it has every potential to crush Core2. Of course, that is just on paper. Real world results may vary. But atleast AMD has been sitting by idle all this time.

Dang...I am this close to biting the bullet and getting this CPU now. Not only do you get a free 320 HD with this, but you also get a free mobo too. You just can't beat that.

NEWEGG FTW!!!

Okay, when I returned my A8N32 SLi to them, it was missing the NB fan, the manual, and the SLi bridge. According to their RMA terms and conditions everything that originally came with the product (in the retail packaging) when you recieved it must be included when you send it back to them. If it isn't, then they will e-mail you informing you of the missing components and ask that you ship the missing components to them. If you can't (lost the components), then they void the RMA number and send the defective product back to you.

Well, as I stated earlier there were components missing- but they went ahead and replaced the mobo! WOOT!!! Newegg pwns all other online stores! I can't believe they did that- and I was so certain that I wouldn't get the replacement. Man they know how to treat their customers.

Okay, back on topic-

That motherboard isn't the most appealing. I'd just settle for that hard drive.

But I'm gonna' hold out till Monday to see just how significantly the prices drop. I'd recommend you do like wise.

Isn't it one or the other? I'm looking at the 6000+ page right now and there are 6 combos, but I don't see one that's for the HDD and mobo.

I don't know...but even still getting a mobo and/or a hd with this cpu is freakin sweet. I can always use more space, and I can sell that mobo to someone that looking to go sAM2 (hint hint...Redeemed, six_storm, etc)

I wouldn't buy that "free" mobo for $5. Though I do know of somebody whom probably would buy it for a reasonable price.

And it is just one or the other, you can't get both the mobo and hard drive for free... unfortunately.

And DD, you can wait... I know you can. Heck, maybe you'll save enough money to allow you to get that second GTS a week or so sooner. Think of it that way.

well, the mobo I had on my old AMD rig was a ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe, and it worked nice along with my FX 62, and it was Nforce 590a as well, unless you want to spring to the nforce 680a but thats up to you

but that CPU looks like a nice one

could work wonders on a Nforce 680a mobo

I didn't notice any nForce 680a mobos on Newegg... do they even carry 'em? The closest I could find was the 590a.
