Default GeForce 6100 Go, laptop MSI, Debian : everything works :-)

I just wanted to say thank you for the help I got reading the Linux forum. I had problems installing the drivers on my new MSI laptop, having quite recurring problems : blank X screen, no more console...

This is what solved the problems :

1) for X, I added the option
options nvidia NVreg_SoftEDIDs=0 NVreg_Mobile=3

then I had X working fine. But then I had problems switching to a console : scrambled screen, or fuzzy fonts. So

2) add vga=0x317 to the "root=" line of my grub menu.lst file.

now everything is OK.

Hope this can help others, I saw that laptop configuration is quite troublesome :-)
