System Reboots

I've been having a problem with my GTX-580 where the system reboots.

It happens during the use of the Creation Kit for Skyrim only.

There is no warning or BSOD or garbled screen, just a immediate reset to BIOS.

I thought I had fixed the problem when I reinstalled Windows, but after installing the latest beta driver for the card (ver304.79) the problem returned and now it doesn't matter which driver version I use.

My specs are:

Win7 Pro x64
Intel Core I-7 2600k @ 3.4ghz
8GB Corsair 1866mhz @1600mhz
Crucial c300 128GB SSD (boot drive) + 3 other drives
ASUS P8P67 Deluxe mainboard
MSI GTX-580oc
Ultra X3 1,000w PSU

All drivers are updated and current.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Narrow this out one by one.

RAM: run memtest X86+
GPU: Run Furmark
CPU: Prime 95

If all work fine check PSU for any issues. Or try plugging in a different GPU to see if thats your issue. sounds to me like a GPU issue / faulty card. If a different GPU does the same thing then its PSU or mobo i would say.

you can also try to change the fan profile using somthing like MSI afterburner.
I've had cards overheat as the load and profile did not match (getting too hot under situation the driver does not expect).

Looks like a memory issue to me. Try with 4GB
