Default nvidia-settings not persisted upon reboot

Hi,

I'm trying to configure my Quadro FX 550 card on Kubuntu 7.10, but each time I reboot it loses the previous settings.

For example, I have two monitors, and I have to explicitly enable the one connected to the DVI port each time I reboot.

After configuring my preferences, I click on "Apply", and then I click on "Save to X Configuration File".

Is there anything else I should be doing?

Thanks!

Only root can rewrite /etc/X11/xorg.conf. If you're not doing this as root, that would explain the problem you're reporting.

Alrighty!

Since it didn't ask for root permission to run, I forgot about kdesu... thanks!
