Hi,
I'm not sure how to describe this, but hopefully my terms won't be too newbie. Anyway, I just switch AGP cards from a MX400 to a FX5200. I'm currently using the card to connect to a tv using a dongle from s-video to an rca input. During normal xterm viewing, I don't see anything unusual. The screen is full and without any oddities. However, when I use mplayer to view a video in full screen mode, I get this blue line down the left side (on the left edge) It's not very thick. It almost looks thin enough that it would frame the screen nicely if it continued on the other three sides. (Not that I want it to do that) By the way, I never had this when using the MX400 card. I'm not sure what relevant info to include here so I'll start with this stuff: Kernel: 2.6.12-27mdk (Mandriva 2006) Driver: NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9755-pkg1.run lspci -v 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5200] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA]) Subsystem: XFX Pine Group Inc.: Unknown device 1280 Flags: bus master, 66Mhz, medium devsel, latency 248, IRQ 10 Memory at f8000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16M] Memory at e8000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=128M] Expansion ROM at <unassigned> [disabled] [size=128K] Capabilities: <available only to root> |

ahhh...here's a little more info...
This happens even when running mplayer in window mode (not full screen) but with a twist. If I run mplayer and the player window isn't touching the left edge, I don't see the blue line. However, when I drag the player window to the left, the vertical blue line appears as it crosses the left edge. The line is always in the same spot. Thanks! R |
