19-7-1 I would have to say the majority thinks I should keep the RAM.

How did you accomplish this? I have tried installing all 5 demos and not one would make it through the install. Maybe the retail version is different.

I would keep (and do keep) both vista x64 (business) and winxp pro x86 installed. I have the raid 0 setup for my xp pro to play games that have a problem with vista. I have the vista x64 installed on a separate wd raptor 150 (10K) 16MB cache for games that play well with x64, such as fs X and tw tour 2007. It's a bit of a pain in the ass to have to go into cmos and switch hd setups everytime I want to switch os but not too bad.

I tried both os with three, not four, gigs of ram and could not tell any differences in performance between the two from using 2 gigs of ram.

The reason I don't dual boot is that vista only allows the hard drive performance option on single drives, not raid 0.

Me personally, I would sell it. Heck even stalker only uses about 1.4gig of memory, DDR3 will be out sooner or later..in the future if its really needed you'd probably be better off with 2 x 2GB sticks anyway.

Update:

So im returning the RAM to NewEgg today!
Plus they gave me a return label.
Plus they waived the restocking fee.

That's $409 in the bank. From what I have been reading Corsair and eveyone one else will be starting to really come out with more 2x2GB modules soon.

It ridiculous that G-Skill is offering 2x2GB for $309.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231122

I paid $800 for my 4GB. But you could get 8GB of G-Skill for $600. Not that I am going to do that right now.

Xbox 360 Elite and Wii.....
