Looks like Intels price drops are starting to kick in... I am seeing drops at all the big e-tailers on CPUs....

well sob, i just bought a 300 dollar fx-60 from tiger direct 2 nights ago to ebay. Now they say its backordered so I dunno if I'll get it because they're so rare. This woulda been a good ebayer too.

I work in a retail "enthusiast" computer store...Our price went from $349, to $329, to $279 in a matter of days...At $279, the E6600 is still a great chip...
