Apparently Panasonic's outburst happened in public at the most recent official DVD forum meeting (prior to official Samsung announcement of a similar but fuller featured HD DVD/BD player) and is reflected in the meeting transcripts... I wonder what exactly the BDA contract contains, and whether it would be considered "anti-competitive"

They had some clause put in that forbade BD from being in the same player as HD DVD.
