Hello i have an epox 8rda+ with a GeForce 4 Ti4600 and i can't make work the nvidia driver i try to disable the agpart and use NvAGP "1" ( to use AGP driver of nvidia) but i can't start X window i only see a black screen with ascii chars ... NV driver work but too slow

Hi,
the "black screen with character" effect seem to be caused by the latest BIOS version. This version can easily be identified by a printout which tells you that dual memory bus support has been enabled. All other BIOS versions from Epox seem to work fine but the performance of GLX is not optimal. As AGP driver you have to use the NVAGP. Ralph |
