Default Nvidia-settings text interface?

I'm currently tweaking my mythtv setup using nvidia-settings, and neither mode of operation (gui or command line) is really optimal. Since I'm watching TV on the card while I'm tweaking it; it would be nice is if I could either ...

a) Run the nvidia-settings gui on a different display from the one I'm modifying.

or

b) Have a spiffy text ui, like the alsa guys do for alsamixer.

I have a feeling a) is easier to do than b), but I'd love either.

nvidia-settings does not have an interactive command line interface; it can be used to control a remote display, however, see the manual page for documentation on the -c command line option.

I don't start Xorg at boot, only when I need it (for example if I am not connected to my computer why would an xorg session runs ?).

How could I run something like this at each boot :

nvidia-settings -a GPUOverclockingState=1 -a GPU2DClockFreqs=137,118 -a GPU3DClockFreqs=137,118

Thank
