RmInitAdapter failed! (after kexec)

The module loads fine, but Xorg can't start.

Does this problem persist if you install the official driver package from NVIDIA's website?

Have you verified that you're using the latest motherboard BIOS?

Official package? Of course. The last Ubuntu driver is 1.0.9631,
so i get the package from nvidia.com,packaged it into a .deb archive, installed, compiled the kernel module and then loaded it.
For the BIOS: yess, latest from ABIT

I want to see the driver installer log as part of your bug report.

well, i don't have it as the debian packager doesn't installs it. I could remove the driver and install it with nVidia installer, but then can I remove it completely without leaving stuff around the system?

nvidia-installer --uninstall

will uninstall the driver.

works when installed by the nvidia installer, there is something wrong in the deb packaging system.

Thanks for the update. I'd suggest filing a bug with the Debian package maintainer.

Sorry netllama, but now I can reproduce it regardless on how I installed the driver. I happens randomly after a reboot with kexec

I REBOOT with kexec, not BOOT with kexec.
I compile a kexec ready kernel, boot, and then reboot by kexecing the old kernel instead of just reset the system.
