Until we see evidence of working 45nm cores and press releases, I think you're in no place to be saying AMD will be in losses. How do you know the Stars family won't run the show?

Also, the "obsolete" 80nm Opeterons wipe the floor with intels C2D Xeon processors in SQL performance.

Please, stop talking out your asshole. Until there is evidence from both developers, you're in no position to say who is faster.

Man, you have a serious problem with yourself. Please do visit your shrink ASAP.

AMD *is* in a huge Q1/2007 loss. See NASDAQ.com. Intel is not "afraid" of K10, it is not comming any soon. They do "market skimming".

Most smart manufacturers are doing this. The practice of ‘price skimming’ involves charging a relatively high price for a short time where a new, innovative, or much-improved product is launched onto a market (C2D, C2Quad). The objective with skimming is to “skim” off customers who are willing to pay more to have the product sooner; prices are lowered later when demand from the “early adopters” falls. And this will happen on 7/22

I don't have a shrink nor do I need one, I think a fanboy who thinks a corporation like Intel care about customers needs some serious help, if AMD dies you will seriously regret it.

If AMD goes under financially, the company would probably be split in two pieces, ATI and AMD, with all the people that would love to get their hands on the patent rights and be able to make cpus as well as companies like Intel that would love to get a mature gpu company I highly doubt that AMD and all of their technologies would just shrivel up and die leaving Intel to rule the world. Some one would buy the company up...maybe Nvidia..they've supposedly been looking into making cpus...Intel wants to get into the discrete graphics market...everyone is pushing towards the GPGPU future... There are so many scenarios involved it's ludicrous to even think about it....using the "You don't want AMD to die" argument is kind of silly. They wouldn't actually "die", they'd just get a new name.

Id rather keep my C2D in all honesty than get a 65nm quad core now that I have been thinking about it. The heat is an issue and an overclocked C2D will out perform a Quad Core with where games and software currently stand.

Yeah, it was on DailyTech like 3 months ago, and was posted here in some other threads.
